Gokin Nable Takes Hospitality Biz To Next Level
The hospitality industry in Rivers State has received another boost as Gokin-Nable Hotels limited has taken the sector to the next level with the introduction of state of the arts facilities which provides total comfort, perfect relaxation and complete entertainment to the public which have also helped to rebrand the sector.
Speaking with The Tide Entertainment recently, the Managerof the hotel, Mr, Endwell Godfrey Onuchukwu disclosed that the hotel was opened two years ago to cater for the yearnings of the youths and the young at heart who crave for a place of comfort and relaxation. He said today, the hotel serves as a centre of attraction for love seekers and music lovers from all over the state and beyond as well as tourists.
He explained that the hotel which is located at Igwe new layout, opposite Ogbakiri junction along the East West road boasts of standard lodging accommodation, functional swimming pool, conference hall, bush bar, laundary and outdoor catering services amongst others.
According to him, the array of services provided by the hotel gives the public the opportunity to enjoy an all round entertainment, comfort and relaxation in a peaceful environment.
Mr. Onuchukwu noted that – part from the services rendered by the hotel, it also organises dusk to dawn parties every Sunday with seasoned Disc Jockies (DJs) and comedians in attendance to entertain guests, adding that the standard of the parties, choice drinks and dishes as well as the peaceful environments were some of the unique qualities that make Gokin Nable the hotel to beat in the area.
Also speaking, a grassroot politician and one of the utility customers of the hotel Hon. Chinedu Zeisma Isaiah observed that the peaceful atmosphere ensured by the security operatives is indeed a source of comfort and a perfect place to be in terms of entertainment, meetings, weddings and other indoor social activities.
He said Gokin Nable competes favourably with other hospitality outlets in the city and commended the management of the hotel for bringing modern entertainment and a cosy environment nearer to the grassroot. According to him, the constant electricity provided by the hotel gives the people a sense of belonging and a feeling of city life.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
