Hausas Demand ID Cards From Delta Community Residents
In a bid to boost security in Ibuzor, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, the Hausa community has requested for identity cards.
This was part of the resolutions reached between the Hausa community and the people of Ibuzor at a meeting held recently at Ibuzor.
Present at the meeting, which was convened by Ibusa Youths Association (IYA) led by Comrade Alfred Isoh, include the leadership of Hausa community in the area, Ibuzor Community Policing (ICP), Commandant, Anti-Cult, Umuehea Youths, Chief Gilbert Okonji.
They all frowned at the petation of crime in whatever guise, stating that it was important for all the residents of the community to live in harmony without fear about security issues.
In a statement issued after the meeting, Comrade Isoh said, “we had a very successful meeting with the Hausas living in our community and they requested for identify cards for easy identification in case of any necessary assistance. We will be having periodic meetings and assist in identifying the hoodlums in disguise to avoid any unnecessary clash with the Hausa community.
“Our interest is to have a peaceful community where there is respect for the rule of law.
