NECO Records Decline In Exam Malpractice
The National Examinations Council (NECO), has said that the council recorded a decline in malpractice in the 2021 external Senior School Certificate Examinations as against other years.
The Registrar, National Examinations Council, Prof. Dantani Wushishi stated this while announcing the release of the results in Minna, Thursday.
While noting that the decline in malpractice during the examination was appreciable, Wushishi said, “In the area of malpractices, 4,454 were caught as against 6,465 in year 2020, which showed appreciable decline in the number of malpractice cases”
He also said that part of the measures put in place to curb malpractice include punishment for poor supervision by supervisors revealing that four supervisors, were blacklisted in the last examination.
“Part of the measures adopted towards tackling malpractices is that anybody involved gets punished.
