Enyimba’ll Salvage Outstanding League Fixtures – Okoroma
Enyimba FC defender, Stanley Okorom, has stated that the People’s Elephants will salvage the two outstanding league fixtures left after playing out a 2-2 draw at home to FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday three days after losing 1-0 to Rivers United in Port hacourt.
Okorom, speaking in a chat with Tidesports source stressed that the team was equally aware that other clubs are happy following the People’s Elephants inability to win the second of four outstanding league fixtures and the opportunity lost to have opened what could have been an unassailable lead on top of the Nigeria Professional Football League table.
“It’s very painful but we believe we are going to win the rest two matches we are having on hand. They’re going to be wishing us to be losing so that we are not going to get on top because they know that if we get on top, the league is over. For now the league is still open and we know that by God’s grace, if we get the two matches that we are having on hand, we are going to be on top and we believe that we are going to get the two games.”
