Let’s Support Amaechi’s Vision
I dare to pay full
compliments to our amiable Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, due to his giant strides in all spheres of governance; road construction, building of schools, health centres, etc. In doing all of these, there are no incidents of harassment of foreigners non-indigenes any-where in the state.
If you do not travel out of Rivers State, it will be a bit difficult to appreciate what feat Amaechi has so far achieved. Take a trip through Port Harcourt/Owerri Road just to see part of Amaechi’s magic. You can also traverse Owerri/Aba Express road, then you will be in position to judge the efforts of Amaechi compared to his Imo and Abia states counterparts. It is even more worthy of mention here that the roads mentioned here are all federal government roads; yet Amaechi has done a masterpiece of his part.
When I passed through Aba of late, I was forced to ask whether they had a commissioner, not to talk of a governor? I am forced to ask if these two sister states (Imo and Abia) hate their people so much that they wish them dead? As a serving corp member, I am pleased to identify with the good works of my Governor. Akwa Ibom/Cross River road is another trap.
A look at the infrastructure of Amaechi has put in place for educational advancement, will convince anyone as to his desire to move Rivers State to the next level. The primary and secondary schools are eloquent testimonies of his intents. Such testimonies are far-fetched when juxtaposed with the performances of his predecessors. The things he has put on ground are confirmation of his “the change we can see” slogan of 2011 election.
Interestingly, some people hold that Amaechi is an arrogant person, but I counter that by stating “his performance or track record has given him confidence to speak his mind at all times”. Is this what people call arrogance? A man who is sure of himself can only speak boldly. It is very clear that most brilliant people are termed arrogant because their self confidence is often misinterpreted. Confidence and boldness do not mean arrogance.
Great Kudos to Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for what he has done so far for Rivers People. I would ask Your Excellency that you use your good offices to get the state Ministry of Power to check the extent of dmanage done to the street light poles.
Again, something drastic needs to be done concerning the recklessness of the RTC drivers and operators. Granted that the road from Omerelu to Port Harcourt is very smooth, so much so that one can drive with his/her eyes closed, but that does not mean road users’ lives should be endangered. FRSC/TIMARIV should be posted there to check over speeding.
Also, Your Excellency, do know that you enjoy riding your bike, once in a while, but the state of Etche road will make you jettison the noble idea of biking. So, save Etche people from untimely deaths by intervening, as it concerns the state of Etche roads.
Someone asked me a question; What’s the attribute of a genuine man? I pointed out; a God fearing man; A man who is bold, a man who is knowledgeable a man who will work his fingers to the bones to protect his own, I go to some part of Port Harcourt and I am forced to say I can’t recall the road because of new construction; which I know it took the strength of a man to put these things in place.
My amiable governor has worked his fingers to the bones for a better Rivers State and indeed Rivers money is for Rivers people. He didn’t give us stadium rather he gave us a sports complex which is greater than stadium and we did not experience operation fill the roads.
At a public place some where in Port Harcourt City, I was listening to my governor elucidate on his achievements in office. I was carried away and shouted ‘the lion himself”. Somebody sought to know why I called him the lion? I told him politely that I had not seen a man so sure of himself, convinced in all that he does and owes nobody apology, for doing what he knows best. Of a truth, Amaechi is a man that some will love to hate, while others will hate to love.
Carry on with your good works and God will always put you over and above your detractors. The traducers will surely suffer shame. Your Excellency you are truly the OCHI-ALIRI of not just Ikwerre land but of Rivers State.
My good people of Rivers States, support him and support his vision.
