Ex-Council Chairman Hails Rundele Politicians

The former Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Azubuike Nkovadu has commended the political leadership of Rundele community in the local government for impacting positively on the people.
Speaking at the ceremony organised by the Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Information Communication and Technology (ICT), Mr Goodliffe Nmekini for women in the community, Hon Nkovadu singled out for commendation the Board member 1 of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board (UBE), Hon. Lucky Worluh and Hon Goodliffe Nmekini stressing that their efforts had improved the quality of lives of the people.
According to him, the activities of these two politicians must be emulated by others in the area.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and the organiser of the programme, Mr Goodliffe Nmekini said that the ceremony was aimed at appreciating the role of women in the socio economic development of Rundele.
Mr Nmekini also said that it was in recognition of this fact that the Nziholem Foundation which he founded in memory of his late mother would be launching a micro credit scheme for the women next year.
According to him, the ceremony was to make the women to be happy during the Yuletide season.
In his speech, the chairman of the occasion, Hon Lucky Worluh attributed the success of the occasion to Governor Amaechi who empowered Rundele people through appointments and also provided infrastructure in the community.
Hon Worluh said that Rundele politicians would continue to use their resources to improve the quality of lives of the people.
Also speaking, a former President of Ogbakor Ikwerre, Chief Sampson Agbaru thanked politicians from the area for coming back home to build their community.

APC Unveils New NWC At National Convention
Delegates at the convention, held at the Eagle Square, also produced a new national working committee (NWC) through a consensus arrangement endorsed by stakeholders.
Dr Ben Nwoye was named deputy national chairman (south), replacing Mr Emma Eneukwu, following consultations within the party.
Sources within the party said the decision was influenced by zoning considerations and consultations among party leaders, with Mr Peter Mbah, Enugu State governor, playing a significant role in ensuring Dr Nwoye’s inclusion.
In his acceptance speech, Prof. Yilwatda said his re-election was a call to greater service and pledged commitment to unity within the ruling party.
“We are ready to serve, ready to lead, and we are ready to build the party, together with the nation,” he said.
He added that the new leadership would not “fail or falter” in carrying out its responsibilities.
President Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, governors, members of the national assembly, and other party leaders graced the convention.
