Body Gets BOT Members
A Port Harcourt based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Fast-Track Development Initiative (FDI), has inaugurated a five member board of trustees.
Those elected include Hon. Precious Ngalale as chairman, Pastor George Izunwa, Dr Charles Numbere, Dr. John Imeji and Dame Aleruchi Cookey-Gam as members.
The aim of the group is to support young people in their educational pursuits and wellbeing as well as tackle government in development of the society.
Inaugurating the board of trustees, at Le’Meridien Hotel, Port Harcourt last Saturday, Rev. Stephen Akinola of the Redemption Ministry charged the members to justify the confidence reposed in them by ensuring they delivered in the aims and objectives of the group.
The man of God who read from the book of Psalm 20 asked them to imbibe the fear of God in their assignments, adding that the society had in the past witnessed some kind of organisations with good intentions but failed because of lack of vision.
“We have known various times issues of this nature, by individuals but we cannot say that they were in the name of the Lord as it resulted to some problems.
“We are here to declare that we will set up our banner in the name of the Lord and so we are here to declare that this vision will last,” he stated.
He told them to be conscious of the fact that the society would judge them according to their performances.
Responding on behalf of the board, Chief Precious Ngalale assured that they would not fail in their duties.
