Enyimba Beats Raja Of Morocco 2-0 …Progresses To Knock-Out Stage: CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Nigeria flag-bearers at the on-going Orange CAF Champions League, Enyimba FC of Aba, has progressed to knock-out stage of the competition as they defeated hard fighting Raja Casablanca of Morocco 2-0, yesterday at the Aba township stadium.
Enyimba of Nigeria, two times African Champions impressive performance was enough to give the host the victory they desired.
Uche Kalu opened the scoring on 8th minutes with a fine curling effort that left the Raja keeper helpless.
The home side continued to dominate and further stretched their lead when the captain of the home team, Chiedozie Johnson smashed home from the edge of the 18 yard box on the 26th minutes.
The hard fighting Raja improved on their game shortly after they conceded the second goal.
Raja dominated the second phase of the game, as they were impressive and also missed clear scoring chances.
As it stands, Enyimba still maintain the lead in Group A with 7 points from 3 matches, while Raja still have romance with the bottom with 1 point in 3 matches.
