Road Flag-Off: Fubara’s Planned Visit To Omoku Excites Monarchs
The planned visit of the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara tomorrow to Omoku Community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of the State, to flag off for construction the Omoku-Obimini-Egbeda-Elele Road project, has elicited joy and excitement from two traditional rulers in the area, the Ogene of Asa Asi Asaga Community, Eze Andrew Enemuwa; and the Paramount Ruler of Aligwu Community, Eze Moses Nwokocha.
The two monarchs said while chatting with newsmen in their domains that they are overwhelmed with joy that Governor Fubara would be visiting the local government to flag off the construction of the road project, which they noted would give tremendous relief and succour to the people of the area, when completed.
Eze Enemuwa expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for the bold initiative and for his magnanimity in addressing the most critical infrastructure in the State.
While urging his people to turn out in their numbers to accord the Governor and his Deputy, Prof Ngozi Odu a rousing welcome, he said the road project, when completed, would provide to the inhabitants of the area the much-needed succour.
On his part, Eze Nwokocha said the people of Aligwu Community are proud of the Governor Fubara administration, especially in terms of the people-oriented projects embarked upon by the administration.
He, therefore, enjoined his people to troop out en masse to give the Governor and his entourage a befitting welcome, and prayed God to sustain Governor Fubara in the midst of distractions in order to take the State to the promised land.
