Nigerdock Assures Host Communities On Robust Relationship
Nigerdock Chairman and CEO, Maher Jarmakani, has stated that the company will consistently work in harmony with the host communities and improve upon a history of successful partnerships.
The Chairman was quoted in a statement by the Chief Marketing Officer of Nigerdock, Kevin Johnson-Azuara, that the communities and company have enjoyed a robust relationship through a proven track record of mutual collaboration.
Recall that Nigerdock recently commissioned some infrastructure for social impact at Igbologun Community.
This was as part of efforts to deepen social impact in the Snake Island Integrated Free Trade Zone, a leading Nigerian maritime and logistics company in Lagos.
Nigerdock also constructed and commissioned some infrastructures for the community.
The Chairman asserted that by investing in education and security, Nigerdock continues to provide opportunities to nurture talents, create social advancement and ensure the overall well-being of its stakeholders.
The items commissioned include: a Junior and Senior Secondary School; a Police Station; a 1.5km community road; a double-finger jetty; and two brand new state-of-the art 24-seater coaster buses to Igbologun Community, Snake Island.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Jamiu Alli-Balogun, was quoted in the statement commending Nigerdock for the infrastructures and received them in good faith.
He beckoned on other business communities to follow the example of Nigerdock as an agent of positive change.
With a capacity for almost 1,000 students, the newly commissioned school is equipped with key amenities, including an ICT Centre, laboratories, an advanced water system, and staff quarters.
Also, the strategically located police station will bolster safety and security within the community, while the new community road with solar powered streetlights will provide seamless connectivity to and from the community’s double-finger jetty.
