Parents Laud Private Schools On Academic Excellence
With the commencement of 2018-2019 academic session in Rivers State, some parents whose children are in private schools within Rumuolumeni axis of the State have commended the effort of private schools in the area for providing quality education in their schools.
Speaking to The Tide in this regard, Mr Ateez Agbelelale whose daughter studies at Iggies Foundation School, Nkpor, Rumuolumeni lauded the proprietress of the school for giving a solid foundation to his daughter educational successes.
He disclosed that quality education can be accessed with an affordable school fees at Biggies Foundation School and called for efforts to be made to reduce high cost of taxtbooks and other educational materials in the country adding which aids proper learnings of students and pupils.
In another reaction, a parents, Mrs Mary Akande Olamiyi who’s daughter is a student of Five C’s Glorious Academy stated that she was very happy that schools have resumed and also expressed satisfaction over the quality of education at the school.
She called on the state government to subsidise the high cost of text books for pupils in private schools with their counterparts in the government owned public schools.
Also speaking the proprietress, Biggies Foundation School, Rumuolumeni, Mrs Ebere Wagbara disclosed that satisfying their students and parents was their priority adding that giving the best in education was their core mandate and goals adding that lack of finance has been their major challenges.
She called on government to support them financially to enable them put up more structures as well as pay their teachers, adding that private schools contribute in the reduction of unemployment in the state as well as contribute to development of educational growth in the state.
