Duncan Mighty Weds Fiancee July 25th
The news making
waves in the entertainment clan has it that Port Harcourt First son, Duncan mighty has decided to girt Bachelorhood as he has fixed.
July 25th 2015 as the day to wed his fiancée Vivien the wedding is expected to be star studded.
It will be recalled that Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu, simply known as Duncan mighty and Port Harcourt first son was born on October 28, 1983 in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. He is one of the popular artistes in Nigeria.
Though his musical style demonstrates a high level of genre Versalility it is also heavily influenced by the sounds and culture of his people as most of his songs are sun in his native Ikwerre tongue.
Werie Mighty released his debut full length album “Koliwater”, in 2008, which was a commercial success.
The 22- track album yielded popular songs such as: ‘Ijeoma’, Scatter my Dada” “Ako NU Nuche” and drew the attention of many music lovers across the country.
His second studio album, “Ahamefuna” (Legacy) was released in 2010 with a lesser number of 15 tracks, than its predecessor. The album was also well received by fans and music aficcondos. Tracks like ‘Obianuju’ and “Port Harcourt fist son brought him international fame and huge fan following.
He received three nominations at the 6th Annual NEA Awards in 2011 and won the indigenous Artiste of the year.
In September 2012 Wene Mighty released ‘foot prints’, an 18 track album with guest appearances from Timaya, shaggy Otuu sax, Sandaz Black and Wande Coal. He has been honoured by the Un as a Peace Ambassador.
In 2014 Wene Mighty released his fourth studio album (Grace & Talent) through his own imprint, young wealth records.
The album included contributions from phyno and young stunna.
The popular celebrity studied audio engineering, served as sound instructor ror benson and Hedges during his youth Service. He also worked at Dolphin studios while on IT at Muson centre in lagos.
Wene Mighty was honoured alongside fellow South-South artistes namely M. Trill, Timaya Becky Enyioma and sodi Cookey at the 4th annual Odudu music Awards.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
