The Old Students Association made the commendation last Sunday at its monthly general meeting and also congratulated Feyii on his elevation from Commissioner of Finance to the office of Secretary to Government.
The President of the Association, Chief Sunny Chukwumele, said the appointment of George Feyii as the SSG has shown that Amaechi has started on a good footing by fulfilling his promises to the people of the state by appointing technocrats into his cabinet.
Chief Chukwumele described Mr. Feyii as Chartered Accountant and professional in his field who has all it takes to assist the Governor in moving the state to a greater height.
He reminded the new SSG to see the appointment as a challenge and urged him to work hard as to live up to expectations of the people of Rivers State.
“We as your former school mates, friends, and juniors wish you well in the performance of your duties. You should also remember that there are lots of work to be done to help the state government to deliver the dividends of democracy in the area of education, health, agriculture and employment generation”, the president added.
