RSG To Complete All Projects
Rivers State Deputy Gov
ernor, Engr. Tele Ikuru, says Rivers people should support the Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi-led administration as it is committed to complete all its projects and programmes to improve their living standard.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving Service in honour of the outgoing Chairman of the State Chapter of Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Chika Onuegbu, at the Assemblies of God Church, Rumuokwuta, Port Harcourt last Sunday, Engr. Ikuru stressed that Amaechi has always placed the interest of Rivers people above every other consideration since he assumed office, and would not do anything that will jeopardize the interest of the people.
He said, “I urge you to support this government. Whatever decisions this government has taken has always been for the benefit of Rivers people. One day, every Rivers son and daughter would say ‘God bless Amaechi for all he did during his tenure’,” he said, adding that Rivers people should be wary of the activities of detractors who are bent on truncating the progress of the state.
Engr. Ikuru commended Comrade Onuegbu for his valuable contributions to the development of the state as TUC chairman, describing him as a man of integrity who has distinguished himself in public service.
Delivering a sermon entitled, “You Are Not Permitted to Be Frustrated in Life,” Reverend Nelson Nweke said the shortest path to fulfilment in life is pure and willing service to God who rewards those that diligently seek Him.
Earlier, the celebrant and outgoing TUC State Chairman, Chika Onuegbu, had said the occasion provided an opportunity for him to appreciate God for His faithfulness and guidance throughout the duration of his tenure.
