Community Reconciles With Monarch
The people of Ogbo community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, have cause to rejoice as they are now reconciled with their King in Ekpeye Kingdom.
Addressing the people of the community in his palace at Odiereke Ubie in Ahoada West Local Government Area, the Eze Ekpeye Logbo, Eze Robinson O. Robinson said that Ogbo was blessed but bedeviled by some elements in the community who rose against his support for development, adding that he has agreed to reconcile them into Ekpeye Kingdom to bring peace and development to the people.
According to the Monarch, “if you beat a child on one hand and on the other receive him to show mercy which reconciles both for a virile society, and advised trouble shooters to have change of hearts.
Elder Richard Okoshi and Chief Nannoth Patrick representing Ogbo community pleaded with Eze Robinson O. Robinson to forgive them for their wrongs, adding that they had acted in ignorance.
In their separate speeches, Messrs Onyekaozuru O. Sunday who is the Managing Director of S&P Hotels, Ahoada and Stephen Dokujin said that the people had remained in darkness because of some miscreants in Ogbo community and appealed for rehabilitation.
The Ibagwa community leader, Chief Justice Onwubiko Moses said the move has initiated a landmark that will enable both communities to unite towards a formidable front to enhance development.
Earlier, the Eze Emene Igbu Ukani-Ula Akoh I, Chief Sunday John Eketu told the Ekpeye Monarch that Ogbo people have cried out for the aid of Eze Ekpeye Logbo II to salvage them and appealed for mercy, forgiveness and recognition.
In a vote of thaks, the Ihuaje community leader, Chief Friday Eke-Ushi commended Ogbo inhabitants for ensuring that peace, unity and progress reign in their community and thanked Eze Ekpeye Logbo II, Eze Robinson O. Robinson for his magnanimity in addressing the plights of the communities.
