WASU Lauds Council Boss Over Bursary
The Wakirike Students’ Union (WASU), has lauded the Chairman of Okrika Local Government Council, Barrister Tamuno Williams and his Ogu/Bolo counterpart, Dame Maureen Tamuno, for their commitment toward the payment of bursary to students in tertiary institutions from the areas. The National President, Comrade Patrick Saviour and the Secretary, Comrade Jeremiah Boma in a statement expressed joy over their efforts aimed at ensuring that all students in tertiary institutions in the local government areas benefit, describing their willingness as a welcome development.

The union hailed the developmental strides of Dame Moureen Tamuno within her 100 – days in office, and enjoined her to keep up the tempo.
It also commiserated with the Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Council, Hon. Chimbiko Akarolo on the demise of his wife, Mrs Caroline, praying God to grant him the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Wakirike students’ union, however, reassured the chairmen of their supprt and loyalty, promising that they would be good ambassadors of the area.
