He said that he would strive to ensure that he attracted more developmental projects to the district, which comprises of eight local government areas, to give them facelift and enjoy the dividends of democracy.
According to him, there are some Millennium Development Goal (MDG) projects in other parts of his Senatorial District, but hoped to attract bigger projects to the area from the federal government.
Senator Thompson Sekibo, who is also the Chairman House Committee on Solid Minerals further noted that he was not happy with the pace of work of the MDG projects in his Senatorial District, and called on the contractors to expedite action.
He said that as representative of the people at the National Assembly, his greatest joy would be to see that the people had their fare share from the federal government projects due them, adding that “it is what they allocate to me that I will use for projects for my people”.
The federal lawmaker also called on the people of his Senatorial District to be peaceful, law abiding, patient and respect for constituted authorities as well as support to the present government in order to attract more government patronage through projects and other developments.
