Monarch Wants Security Intervention In Rumuigbo Community Crisis
Following the dissolution of the Rumuigbo Clan Council by the Paramount Ruler of Apara Kingdom, Eze Chika Worlu Wodo, the monarch has called on security agents to intervene in the Clan’scouncil crisis to enthrone peace.
The First Class, traditional ruler insisted that he dissolved the Clan Council for peace to reign in the community and in the interest of all and sundry.
“As the Paramount Ruler of Apara Kingdom and Rumuigbo Community, I have the primary assignment of ensuring peace and unity in the entire clan and Apara.
“As a government recognised First Class Monarch, I cannot fold my arms and see the Clan go into flames. So, I have no option than to dissolve the Rumuigbo Clan Council to avert imminent crises in the community”, he said.
The Paramount Ruler called on security agents in the state to arrest and prosecute some suspected clan council chiefs responsible for the looming danger in the community.
Eze Wodo, who accused some suspected chiefs in the community of using thugs and cultists to foment trouble, said the trouble-seeking chiefs are persons who hold respected offices and positions in the Clan’s Council.
He insisted that some of the Exco members are the culprits to the destabilisation of peace in Rumuigbo community.
The monarch noted that any responsible chief should be God-fearing and respectful, and not to foment trouble in the community.
“We have sent petitions and SOS to the office of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police with regards to the dissolution and also the looming crisis in Rumuigbo.
“As leaders in various communities, our primary assignment is to maintain peace and order, not to fuel crisis”, he stated.
While calling on security agents in the state to deploy their men to Rumuigbo Community to avert the looming crises, the monarch appealed to the youths of the community not to take laws into their hands, but shun violence and remain calm, “no matter the level of provocation and intimidation by the trouble-seeking chiefs”.
