WMU, NIMASA Collaborate On Human Capital Dev
As part of efforts to ensure the workforce at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) maintains excellence and global best standards, the agency has strengthened its ties with the World Maritime University (WMU).
Both organisations deepened this synergy when the President of WMU, Dr. Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry, paid a working visit to the agency’s headquarters in Lagos, recently.
During the engagements, the WMU President also commended NIMASA for its policies on gender equality, which, he said, has manifested in both the number of women employed by the Agency, and those sponsored for capacity development in the country and abroad.
Meanwhile, Dr. Doumbia-Henry thanked NIMASA for its longstanding relationship with WMU, stating, “At the World Maritime University, we have had a long, mutually beneficial relationship with Nigeria and NIMASA in particular.
Our visit is to further strengthen the ties between ourselves while exploring areas of future collaboration”.
