Gunmen Rob, Kill Man Returning From Bank

A yet-to-be-identified man has been killed by armed robbers in the Trans Amadi area of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital after he had withdrawn money from a commercial bank.
The man, who was shot dead by the robbers on Wednesday, also had the money he withdrew from the bank taken from him.
Eyewitnesses, who spoke to The Tide, said the deceased allegedly withdrew some money from the bank and was traced to Elf junction, around Schlumberger, off Mothercat Road, close to Alcon Company, by the robbers.
According to them, the deceased struggled with the robbers before he was shot in the head and the money taken from him.
They lamented that despite the presence of a Police Post and many companies attached with police men around the area, none was able to stop or chase the robbers.
Acting spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, did not respond to enquiries as at the time of filing this report.
