Speaking during the programme, the President, Wakirike Bese Gospel Ministers Association, Bishop Williams Daka, said the Wakirike Bese National Prayer Summit was an annual event of the organisation held every 30th December.
According to Bishop Daka, the purpose of the annual prayer summit was to foster unity,, revival and progress of the Wakirike Gospel Ministers and the people at large.
“This programme is being held for over nine years in various communities and it has a specific day of Thanksgiving, every 23rd of May.
“This journey started in 2002, when militancy, cultism invaded our land and came abounding in our hearts to pray for the land for God to restore peace to the land that the Wakirike man can return to his home”.
He said, for the success recorded, the land of Ogu, Bolo, Okrika, and other communities are the most peaceful communities so far.
He also prayed for God to establish the Kingdoms and also the growth of ministers in Wakirike and the missionaries all over the world.
He advised the Wakirike people to be steadfast and committed in the things of God, stating that, in the archives of history, everything done by our fathers is traceable to God and nothing can be achieved without Him.
He urged the Wakirike people to continue in the spirit of unity, and the progress and blessing of our fathers.
In his reaction, King Darick Acheseomie, Obumuton IX, Amanyanabo of Obumuton-Chiri Kingdom, Port Harcourt, appreciated the Wakirike Bese Gospel Ministers for the annual event and prayed to God to give them more grace.
He, however, said they have more work to do for the sustenance of peace, unity, and progress of the Wakirike people.
He said, the Kingdom accepted to host the event this year,, in line with the community’s commitment to the things of God first, adding that the Kingdom does not operate on War Canoe Houses rather work with polos, because there is no shrine.
The event was graced by King Abiye Iyo, Amanyanabo of Omubaraibi Ama, among others.
