Birthday: Monetise Your Gifts, Obuah Urges Associates
Ahead of the birthday anniversary of Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, and immediate past Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the State, Bro Felix Obuah, which usually draws avalanche of goodwill, congratulatory messages, gifts, parties, religious and social programmes from friends, relations, political associates and admirers from across the globe, this year’s edition of his birthday will not hold.
This was contained in a statement signed by Jerry Needam, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Bro. Obuah
Though no specific reason was given for not observing what may have become an annual ritual most often at the behest of his well-wishers, Obuah appealed to those who could have presented him with gifts or organise parties, religious and social programmes to do so by monetising such gifts.
Obuah, said, it became necessary to make public the suspension of this year’s Birthday Anniversary to save his numerous friends and fans the energy, time and financial resources that would be wasted in trying to identify with him for the suspended event.
“If such friends and fans should insist on having him celebrate the birthday anniversary however, such persons should do well to transmit their gifts and presents to him in monetary terms,” Bro Felix Obuah emphatically declared.
