Mrs Ayade Tasks Youth On National Dev
The wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Dr (Mrs) Linda Ayade, has charged youths of the State to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s political debate and channel their energies to causes that would engender societal development.
Dr Ayade gave the charge when speaking at the inauguration of Chapter Executives of Cross River Youths for Ayade and Atiku (CRYFAA) Campaign Group, held recently at College of Health Technology, Calabar.
Continuing, the First Lady said instead of exhibiting vainglory on social media, it was important that youths took advantage of the vast reach of the social media to lend their voices on critical issues affecting the nation in a bid to effect the desired change.
Congratulating the newly-inaugurated Chapter Executives of CRYFAA, Dr Ayade enjoined them to get to the nooks and crannies of the State in sensitising the people on the exercise of their franchise, and more importantly, voting rightly.
In a goodwill message, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation and Member, CRYFAA Board of Trustee, Mrs RoseMary Effiom Archibong, applauded the vision, adding that in politics, energetic, wise, focused and dynamic youths were needed to galvanise the change from the quagmire bedevilling the nation.
Mrs Archibong further asserted that Ayade and Atiku were both tested, proven and deserved the support of the youths, adding that the due have been divinely positioned to take the state and nation to greater heights.
The commissioner congratulated the new executives and all other youths who came to aggregate wisdom, ideas and energy.
