The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro Felix Obuah says he is impressed with the level of compliance of the 24- hour ultimatum given to service providers to get rid of waste, in their respective zones or get fired.

While on the monitoring exercise along East-West Road, Rumuokoro and Bori Camp, the Sole Administrator issued a stern warning to the service provider, Royal George, who is in-charge of those areas to ensure that all wastes were removed with immediate effect, stressing that failure to do so would have his contract terminated.
Obuah further warned High Five Limited covering Rumuokoro and its environs; and GUI Company, Elelenwo to Akpajo respectively, to as a matter of urgency, remove all the wastes in their areas or get fired.
The Sole Administrator directed monitoring teams to regularly update him on report situation at East- West Road, Rumuokoro, Bori Camp and all other areas in Port Harcourt, the state capital and its environs, to his office, for appropriate action.
Bro Obuah also appealed to those living and doing business in Rivers State to adhere strictly to sanitation rules, by not dumping refuse outside the approved dumping time and at unauthorised places.
