Why Kill For Politicians
This is a rhetorical question though at the same
time begs for answer; answers from our youths who have allowed politicians to use them for selfish interest. They are killed, maimed. They allow themselves to be dragged slowly but willingly to their untimely graves by people who seek power by all means, not to serve but as a means to getting quick riches. Why don’t you rather involve yourself in a gainful venture that will earn you respect and riches?
Politics is supposed to be a game and in every game you engage in a healthy competition and a winner as well as a loser emerges. In the case of politics and elections, you are going to be chosen by the people depending on who you are, how they see and perceive you and how you are able to convince them by your manifesto and campaign messages. It is not in any way supposed to be a do or die affair that will enable the engagement of humans as tools for break down of law and order in the society during polls.
Since you are going there to serve the masses. Service has to do with responsibility; it seems our politicians these days are not seeing it that way. They travel their way to the top with aggression, bulldozing their way through by killing, destroying, causing so much harm to lives and properties. Now that you are killing the very people that are supposed to be your subjects who is going to be subject to you when you finally find your way there?
The youths are supposed to be wiser by not allowing these politicians to use them again for their selfish interests. Refuse to be persuaded, reject the fake hopes and promises, the cash that is given you what can it do for you; nothing is just enough to warrant you to kill and destroy your brothers and sisters. With the guns you fight and are being fought, you kill and are also being killed and are buried which marks your end.
Think about your loved ones that will bear the pains of your departure. If peradventure you are lucky to be alive you may end up in prison, and what becomes of your hopes and aspirations. Be bold enough to say no when you are asked to come take gun. Of cause you know this gun will eventually enslave you and make you go into hiding while their children are out there enjoying every benefit any human being can think of.
Youth! Leave our prospective leaders to be chosen in a free and fair election. They should understand that their being elected into that position is a call to duty that comes with great responsibility to serve, make good and rational decisions, create impact and seek to do better things for the benefit of the masses that actually elected them.
Do not allow yourself to be used or misused and thereafter be dumped by the politicians. Use your youthfulness and strength to ensure free and fair polls, get your permanent voters cards (PVC); encourage others to do so. On the election day go out peacefully and exercise your franchise as a law-abiding citizen by casting your vote for your preferred candidate. If everyone does this, I assure you there is going to be a free and fair election and a candidate preferred by the majority irrespective of the party is going to be elected.
Think about how many people lose their lives in previous elections. How many children of the candidates die? Oh! Maybe their children and relatives are too precious to die? And you? Why kill yourself for the very people that are supposed to rule, govern and protect you?
Stop and think! Say no to tuggery, say no to ballot box snatching, say no to violence, you may not live to tell the story. Remember the many vibrant youths who have lost their lives for this cause; your blood is not to be used for people to attain power.
The people you are fighting and dying for are birds of the same feather, they flock together. Irrespective of their parties. While you might have slept in your early grave they will be around to take the next available appointment and still live and enjoy life
There might be need for re-run election, be wise! stay alive and stay free!
