NUJ To Partner Faith Organisation For Gospel Propagation
The Rivers State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) says it will partner with a faith-based organisation, the Bible Society of Nigeria, in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus.
Chairman of the council, Mr Omoni Ayo-Tamuno, gave the indication when he played host to members of the Port Harcourt Auxiliary of the organisation in his office, led by its chairman, Mr Tonye Erekeosima.
Ayo-Tamuno also said the union is ready to partner with any faith organisation that is committed to preaching the gospel to all Nigerians.
He thanked the society for its activities and services to mankind, especially ensuring the availability of the Christian Bible to the people as well as its translations into Nigerian languages.
The chairman called on religious leaders, Pastors and Christians to patronize the society through the purchase of its publications.
Earlier, the Christian of the Port Harcourt Auxiliary, Mr Erekeosima, had congratulated Mr Ayo-Tamuno, who is also a member of the society, on his recent election as chairman of the NUJ in the state, describing it as an honour to the society.
Mr Erekeosima said the Bible Society of Nigeria is committed to the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations by making the Bible available to all.
High point of the visit was the presentation of a copy of the Holy Bible to the NUJ chairman.
