PHED partners CRC for effective service delivery
The Chief Executive Officer
of Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED), Mr Jon Abbas, says the company is to partner CRC Credit Bureau for effective service delivery.
According to sources, CRC is a credit bureau in Nigeria with credit information of over 95 per cent of Nigerian lending industry.
The PHED boss said that CRC credit information covered areas such as commercial banks, non banking institutions, retailers and utility service providers.
Abbas said in a statement on Friday in Port Harcourt that the collaboration of the two firms was designed to ensure improved services within PHED areas of operation. The statement said that the partnership would bring about improved customer authentication.
He said that PHED operations covered states such as Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers. The statement said that the partnership would enable the two firms to share information about customers and the type of services to be rendered to them.
“We believe that with our partnership with CRC, we will significantly improve on our “Know Your Customers” processes and the ability to extend better services to the larger Nigerian economy,’’ he added.
The Managing Director of CRC Credit Bureau, Mr Tunde Popoola, was quoted by the statement as saying that PHED would be more effective if it had access to better information about its customers.
