Administrator Lauds Doctors Over Support For Pilgrims
The Nigeria Medical
Association (NMA) Rivers State chapter has been commended for its services to the state and humanity.
The sole Administrator, Rivers State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Very Rev. Msgr. John K. Wangbu made the recommendation in Port Harcourt when the new executives of the state chapter of the association paid him a courtesy visit.
Rev. John K. Wangbu who described doctors as indispensible, particularly during medical/screening of pilgrims noted that a very cordial relationship exist between the board and the association.
He noted that pilgrims to the holy land cannot embark on the trip without the involvement of medical practitioners who carry out medical examination on intending pilgrims, adding that doctors and nurses had always played a key role doing the exercise.
The sole administrator disclosed that the on-going verification exercise is for 2013 intending pilgrims.
In his response, the Chairman of the Association, Dr Furo Green, lauded the sole administrator for the effective management of the board as well as the cordial relationship between the board and the association.
