No Faction In Trans- Amadi Abattoir – Association
The Trans/Amadi
Slaughter Butchers Association has denied rumour of factionalisation within its fold.
The Public Relations Officer of the association, Mr Musa Ibrahim said this in an interview with The Tide in his office in Port Harcourt.
Mr Ibrahim described the rumour of the purported factionalisation as the handiwork of mischief makers stressing that the election which produced the present executive of the association was conducted in a transparent manner.
He said that the election was witnessed by both members of the press and officials of Obio/Akpor Local Governor Council.
The public Relations Officers urged those opposed to the election to go to court, and stop creating unnecessary tension.
Meanwhile, the Trans Amadi Butchers Association has set up a committee to supervise the slaughtering of animals in the Trans Amadi abattoir.
The public Relations Officer of the Association told The Tide that the Association has also banned the use of tyres and plastics to roast meat in the abattoir.
According to him, officials of the Ministry of Health and their Environment counterpart are always invited to supervise the slaughtering of animals in the abattoir.
Mr Ibrahim further said that members of the Assocaition are now being encouraged to sue firewoods in roasting of meat.
