Dolphins Sign Senegalese Defender
Dolphins FC of Port-
Harcourt have completed the signing and registration of Senegalese defender Xavier Mendy.
Mendy who played for Burkina Faso high-flyers ASFA Yennega, is one of the new acquisitions made by the Rivers State-owned club with whom he signed a one-year-deal.
“We cannot say we scouted him because an agent brought him to Port Harcourt and after the coaches tried him out they saw the potential and began to work on his papers,” China Acheru, Dolphins media officer said.
The club also secured the loan acquisitions of Victor Alegbe, a midfielder and Ayobanmi Asekunuwo, a central defender both from Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.
