Parents Advised On Early Education Of Wards
Parents has been charged to invest in the education of their children, as education remains the best legacy they can bequeath to their children.
Proprietress of Diamond Stars International School, Port Harcourt. Mrs Helen Oboka who gave the charge at the school’s graduation and awards ceremony last Saturday said while other investments were momentary, those made for children’s education would enduring she stated the need for parents to build the future of their choice today through their children’s education for a brighter and better tomorrow.
The Proprietress equally that the School had adopted the Montessori method of learning by providing adequate training of its teachers, saying, this would go a long way in positively impacting on the learning adventures of the pupils and students.
She also commended the teachers for their resourcefulness, and disclosed that the school had concluded plans to sponsor workshops and seminars to upgrade their knowledge.
Mrs Oboka further disclosed that the school had acquired a new bus for the pupils and students and also renovated buildings in the school to make the environment more conducive for learning and also equipped library to know their reading skills. According to her, the school’s science laboratory had also been upgraded and repositioned for scientific experiments.
The chairman of the occasion, Rev Bisi Odota said the school had recruited the best to educate pupils and students morally and set standards that would stand the test of time.
