PH Club Re-elects Uti
Port Harcourt Club 1928 has re-elected Mr Churchill Uti as president of the club for the 2009/2010 club calendar.
Mr Uti was returned unopposed alongside his vice president, Barr. Golden Tamuno, while the post of general secretary was won by Barr. Soalabo West, and Charles Oruitemeka emerged treasurer.
The only female contestant, Mrs Tammy Boardman won the office of membership secretary, while Dele Maku is the new sports secretary.
Feddy Inimgba and John Dodo emerged House and Grounds secretaries respectively, Omuobor Oyibo and Telema Lawson are Bar and Kitchen secretaries, while Sammy Pepple and Ogaranya Nwabueze are the social secretaries.
In his post election speech, during the club’s annual general meeting held at the Unity Hall, the president thanked members for the confidence reposed on the new management committee and assured that with their co-operation and support, the new team will take the club to greater heights as the premier recreational club in Nigeria.
Mr Uti promised to give all sections priority attention as well as also complete the club’s building.
He appealed to members to show more commitments to the affairs and development of the club.
