Senator Assures Constituents Of Positive Representation
The Senator representing Rivers West Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly, Hon. Wilson Ake, has promised to use his position in the Senate to ensure the realisation of the Odual road project, in the Abua/Odual local government area.
Hon. Ake, said this during a courtesy call on him at Erema by members of the Abua/Odual Local Government Legislative Assembly.
He commended members of the Assembly for their role in redeeming the image of the local government area while also commending the council chairman, Hon. Udissein Udi for his high level developmental programme in the area.
While commending the councilors for the spirit of oneness existing among them, Senator Ake also promised to work with them to bring about positive change in the local government area.
In an address, the leader of the Abolga Legislative Assembly, Hon. Suoye Igoni, thanked Senator Ake for attracting several developmental projects for the area.
Some of the projects, according to him include the Owerewere water project, the Abua-Degema road/bridge project among others.
Hon. Igoni, who solicited the support of the Senator to enable the Assembly reach out to the grassroots also urged the Rivers State government to construct the Odual road to ameliorate the transport difficulties being faced by the people.
Meanwhile, the Abua/Odual Local Government Legislative Assembly has commenced a four week recess.
The leader, Hon Suoye Igoni had before the recess frowned at the attitude of some council drivers who, according to him, are thwarting the effort of the council at bringing development to the Odual axis.
