C’River: Dep Gov Receives New Brigade Commander
The Cross River
State Deputy Governor, has promised to enhance collaboration with the Nigerian Army formation, towards effective safety operations in the State.
The Deputy Governor made this promise when the out-gone Officer Commanding the 13 Brigade Headquarters of the Nigerian Army, Akim Barracks, Calabar, Brigadier General, Sani Mohammed called on him to introduce the new officer commanding the Brigade, Brigadier General Biu, in Government House, Calabar.
Professor Esu expressed the gratitude of the government and people of the State to the out-gone Commanding Officer for the cordial working relationship enjoyed during his tenure with the State Government and pledged to extend government support and assistance to the new Brigade Commander to enable him perform his duties creditably for the benefit of the State.
He wished Brigadier General Mohammed a more successful stay in his new area of assignment while welcoming General Biu to the State which he described as home for the new Commanding Officer.
Responding, the new Commanding Officer, 13 Brigade Headquarters, Calabar, Brigadier General Biu thanked the Deputy Governor for the warm reception, stating that he is in the State to partner the government and its people to enable them actualize the dividends of democracy.
Brigadier General Biu promised to take into cognizance the briefs on the State in order to properly position himself to render maximum service to the people of the State.
