Lobi Stars Set To Finish Within Top Three
Lobi Stars defender
Solomon Kwambe has told newsmen that his club is on track to finish within the top-three in the Nigeria league this season after a 1-0 win over MFM FC
A 69th minute own goal by MFM’s Monsuru Bashiru on Sunday was enough to secure maximum points for Lobi, who now occupy fifth place on the league table, with only three points separating them from leaders Rangers.
And Kwambe said he believes they are gradually getting close to achieving their target for the season.
“We are getting there,” he said. “The win was good for us and if we keep getting results like this, we will definitely finish in the top three and qualify for the continent next season.”
However, the Nigeria international acknowledged that they still have a lot of work to do to make their target a reality.
“We are not carried away by this because we know we still have to keep working hard and stay focused,” he added.
