Rivers Needs God’s Intervention -Wike
The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has declared that the state needs God’s intervention to move to the next level.
He made this declaration while receiving the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, Pastor Lazarus Mouka, who paid him a courtesy call at Government House, Port Harcourt, Monday.
The governor thanked the cleric for organizing the crusade in Rivers State for the benefit of residents.
“Frankly speaking, at this point in time, this is what the state requires. Rivers State requires the attention of God and His mercies to reach the next level. I believe that with the crusade that you have organized and the prayers offered on behalf of this state, there will be tremendous progress,” Wike said.
“For us as a government, we are always ready to support and partner with any church that will bring souls to the Almighty God. Winning souls is important. Rivers State is wholly Christian, and because of this, we will always partner any church that prays for its unity and progress.
“We believe that the crimes currently perpetrated in the state will require God’s intervention because security personnel and logistics alone cannot work without God’s grace and support”, the governor admitted.
The Rivers State chief executive prayed God to continue to use the clergy as a vessel for the delivery of mankind.
The General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Mouka, who was in Rivers State for a crusade organized by his church, thanked Wike for all his support and generosity.
He assured the governor that God Almighty would answer all the prayers that were made by him and his church for Rivers State and its people.
