Rivers Angels Train For Super Six Play-Off
Rivers State female football team, Rivers Angels fc says it has resumed training last Monday after its Christmas and New Year break.
Manager of the team, Matilda Otuene who stated this said the resumption is to enable the team to prepare adequately for the 2013 league ending super six play-off competition that was postponed to this year.
Otuene who made this known Monday, during an exclusive interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt stated 1st February that is expected to be the date for the play-off at the National stadium, Abuja.
He also explained that the final of the competition would be decided between the Angels and the Nassarawa Amazons as the battle for supremacy in the play-off.
Meanwhile assistant coach of Rivers Angels fc, Whyte Ogbondah, said that, the competition would not be an easy one, because both teams made it to the finalist by topping their groups, saying that, Angels would do their best to put up best performance in order to achieve the desired result.
Ogbondah said the team is working hard ahead of the super six play-off and the 2014 professional women league season, which he said would commence after the final competition.
