HOS Exit Date: Civil Service Commission Clears Air
Against the backdrop of the controversy trailing the actual retirement date of the Rivers State Head of Service, Mrs Esther Anucha, the state civil service commission, says Mrs Anucha’s employment would elapse on the 7th of September this year.
A press statement signed by the commission’s chairman, Hon Ngo Martyns-Yellowe, said that Mrs Anucha was born on 25th of March, 1955 and employed on 7th of September, 1977.
According to the statement, Mrs Anucha is due to retire on the 7th of September, 2012 after serving the mandatory 35 years which retirement process she has already commenced.
The statement also said that Mrs Anucha had kept a clean record and added value to the service.
It would be recalled that the Head of Service, at a recent forum, announced her retirement from the service, commencing from September this year..
At the forum, Mrs Anucha debunked series of negative reports concerning her exit date from the service.
Some local newspapers in the state had earlier published unsavoury reports aimed at tarnishing the hard-earned image and reputation of the Head of Service.
