Amaechi’s 3rd Anniversary Programme Continues
Governor Chibuike Amaechi will today host an interactive session with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in continuation of his third year anniversary celebration which commenced last Saturday.
The governor is also sehedule to visit the State House of Assembly to meet with the legislators before proceeding to the State headquarters of the Nigerian Police, at Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, to commission security and communications equipment.
Later in the evening of the same day, the governor will host an interactive session with youths of the state, which would be beamed live on Television.
Governor Amaechi will make a Broadcast to the people of the state, on Tuesday and host a breakfast meeting with Media Practitioners in the state before touring and commissioning some major projects in the state.
Later on Tuesday, the Governor would officially launch the Project 60:60:60which is expected to deliver 60 completed and well equipped health centres with the full complement of staff and medical personnel to 60 communities in 60 days.
The programme would be rounded off on Wednesday, 27th October, 2010 with an Accountability Forum at the Main Bowl of the Civic Centre, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
It would be recalled that the gvernment’s programme of activities for the third year anniversary began last Saturday with a social evening with the governor.

RSG INAUGURATES ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMITTEE
The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a Central Planning Committee to organize the celebration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) in the State.
The committee was formally inaugurated by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
Dr Anabraba who also serves as Chairman of the Committee
highlighted the State Government’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the nation’s peace and unity.
“These heroes have given their lives for the security and peace of our nation and deserve to be celebrated. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an opportunity to show our gratitude for their sacrifice,” he said.
Dr. Anabraba further extended recognition to all Security Agencies in the State, emphasizing the importance of the event in appreciating their contributions to national security and sovereignty.
The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed on January 15 across the country is dedicated to remember Nigeria’s departed soldiers and honouring the nation’s veterans.
