Uduaghan Meets Ex-Militants
Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has met with former militants in the state to brainstorm on the move to finding a road map to the post amnesty programme.
The repentant militants who briefed the press on the outcome of the closed door meeting with the governor in Asaba expressed confidence on the post amnesty plan, adding that it would address most of their immediate problems.
According to them, this meeting has offered us the opportunity to address various perceived problems, since we surrender our arms and ammunitions to embrace the Federal government amnesty deal.”
The ex- militants noted that the meeting was a healthy development as it would enhance the needed peace in the once restive coastal communities in the state.
The ex- commanders were from various camps in the state including the John Togo called “General”.
