GDI Coordinator Hails Wike’s Administration
The Co-ordinator of Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI), Degema Local Government Area (LGA), Rivers State, Peter Abbey, has said he is proud of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike in the State.
Describing the Governor as a true leader who keeps to his words, he said, “Wike has delivered his political promises to the people of Degema”.
Abbey said this, during the just-concluded GDI sensitisation on Permanent Voters Card (PVC) campaign in the area.
According to him, the people of Degema have expressed determination and commitment to deliver the PDP governorship candidate for the 2023 general election, Amaopusenibo Seminialayi, through their PVCs.
“Our simple message here for the Delgans is for them to go and get their PVCs. Go out and vote, and also protect your vote. It is in their hands to vote, for more dividends of democracy to come to the LGA, as exemplified by our Governor.
“As you can see from the crowd here, today, it has clearly shown that the people of Degema are yearning for PDP government because of good governance.
“I want to say that Governor Wike has surpassed other administrations in the State in service delivery to the Kalabari people.
“No doubt, Degema is PDP, and fully simplified,” Abbey said.
Abbey also commended the party’s leadership in the State led by Amb. Desmond Akawor, saying he has kept the party intact.
Also speaking, a PDP stalwart, Wariso Cyril Hart, emphasised the need to get PVC.
“Getting your PVC will help to continue the good governce of PDP in the State. Our people are working hard to ensure that the message of PVC collection is taken to the grassroots”, Hart said.
