Calabar Airport Gets New Manager
The new Airport Manager of the Margaret Ekpo International Airport (MEIA),Mr Umunna Hilary has solicited the cooperation and support of management and staff of the airport, to enable them achieve stated goals.
He said that management is a continuum and a great task and therefore urged all hands to be on the deck, so as to justify their existence.
The new Calabar Airport manager who made the appeal during the handing over ceremony at the airport, on Tuesday also thanked his predecessor, Mr Ayodele Sunday and other Heads of Departments for their heart warming reception accorded him.
Hilary, who was the former Head of Operations at Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu, also promised to continue on the good legacies of his predecessor.
Earlier in his speech, the outgoing manager,Ayodele Sunday. urged his successor not to pay attention to gossips, but should acquaint himself with everyone and make decisions based on this knowledge.
He also itemized his achievements and and also used the medium to apologize to those he offended in the cause of doing his official duties.
Meanwhile, all the Heads of Departments in the airport have promised to cooperate with the new airport manager.
