CP Advises Hoteliers On Security
The Police Command in Cross River State has urged hotel owners and other private business operators in the state to give priority attention to the security of their business premises.
The Commissioner of Police, Gyogon Grimah, made the call in a statement by the command’s Spokesperson, SP Irene Ugbo, in Calabar on Friday.
Grimah said it was important for private business operators to collaborate with security agencies in the campaign against crime and insecurity.
“Private business operators should take the security of their business environment very seriously through collaborations with security agencies.
“They should work with the police divisions in their areas of operation. This synergy is critical to effective policing”, he said.
The Commissioner further urged private business operators in Cross River State to invest in more advanced and technology-driven security systems.
“Installation of surveillance systems, adherence to safety protocols, adequate profiling of employees and guests are ways in which we can better secure our business premises.
“Let us also promptly report suspicious movements and properly document valid means of identifications that are presented to us”, he said.
Grimah expressed the commitment of the command to fight crime and provide adequate security across the state.
He urged residents of the state to always support the police with credible intelligence to ensure effective fight against crime and insecurity.
