Vote PDP Consolidation Candidates, Banigo Charges Electorate
Rivers State Deputy Governor and the Peoples Democratic Party Candidate for Rivers West Senatorial District in the upcoming elections, Dr.Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has reiterated the need for women in Rivers West Senatorial District to vote all candidates of Consolidation Team of PDP in the state in the 2023 General Election.
Banigo reiterated this during a unity walk programme organised by Rivers West Senatorial District women, titled “A Simple Walk for Life a Mother’s Call” at St Paul’s State School Field, Ahoada Town, yesterday.
She urged them to vote for Sir Siminialayi Fubara as governor, because he has been part of the development strides of the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration, adding that he would not only consolidate on the achievements but take it higher for the overall benefit of Rivers people.
According to Banigo, for the first time in the history of the state, a woman was encouraged and elected as deputy governor, stressing that it has opened up new vistas of opportunities for more women to be elected into various positions.
She noted that another woman, Prof Ngozi Nma Ordu, was poised to succeed her as deputy governor.
Banigo encouraged women to go from door to door, house to house, family to family, window to window, market to market, shop to shop, to tell them to vote for Siminialaiyi Fubara, and all PDP candidates on Election Day, noting that it would foster greater peace and development in the state.
In her remarks, the Gubernatorial running mate of the PDP, Prof. Ngozi Ordu, expressed confidence that the women of Rivers West Senatorial District would vote massively for Siminialayi Fubara and all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, and implored them to ensure that they reach out to those who have not made up their minds on whom to vote, to convince them to vote exclusively for the PDP.
The Rivers State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Ukiel Oyaghiri, had earlier disclosed that the women of Rivers West Senatorial District were ‘Simplified’, adding that having performed as a good deputy governor, the women were convinced that she would do more when she gets into the Senate, because she has been tested and trusted.
She urged the women to vote massively for Fubara and all PDP candidates in the upcoming polls.
