The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Council, Dame Anengi Barasua, says she would not be carried away by the peace that is being enjoyed in her domain, but would rather strengthen the working relationship with government security forces towards tying up all loosed ends that may have unwholesome potentials around the main town, waterways and villages of Bonny.
Barasua stated this when the Commanding Officer of the Forward Operating Base (FOB), Bonny of the Nigerian Navy, Capt. Muhammed Adamu, together with his management team paid her an introductory visit at Government Lodge, Bonny, to announce his deployment to the base and readiness to work with the local government.
Earlier, Captain Adamu who expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the local government Chairman concerning the fight against insecurity, said he was on the courtesy visit to seek her “assistance, collaboration, and blessings” towards taking the fight against insecurity and illegal oil bunkering a notch higher, vowing to amplify the efforts that are already on ground and ensuring the precincts of Bonny waterways and its adjourning villages are free from criminality.
