Akawor Reassures Rivers People On Democracy Dividends
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, Amb Desmond Akawor has assured the people of the State that the Peoples Democratic Party Government under Chief Nyesom Wike would continue to ensure that the dividends of democracy get to all citizens of the state.
The message, signed by his special assistant on media, Paul Deeyah, the people of the state, especially Christians to remain with the PDP reminding them of the importance the PDP administration in the State attaches to the promotion of the gospel, hence declaring Rivers state as a fully Christian state.
He advised them to continue to pray for peace in the State to accelerate the pace of development and also pray for the government to continue to actualise its lofty programmes for the prosperity of the people.
The former South-Korean envoy and FCT Minister also admonished Christians to see the season as a time to renew their commitment to God, stating that if Christ had not been born there would have been nothing like Christianity, he called on them to uphold the virtues of righteousness, good neighbourliness, sincerity, obedience and tolerance in their daily living.
