New Manager Vows To Improve Port’s Revenue
																								
												
												
											The new Port Manager, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Onne Port, Dr Abubakar Dantsoho says his priority is to generate more revenue for the port.
Dantsoho replaced Alhassan Isimaila Abubakar who has been redeployed to Marina headquarters, Lagos, after serving at the Onne Port for over five years.
The new port manager who spoke to journalists on Monday said his cardinal objective was to shore up revenue generation for the port.
He appealed to the staff of the port, terminal operators and other users to work as a team to achieve the set goals.
He described Onne Port as modern, noting that the port controlls over 80 per cent of the oil tanker vessels berthing at the Nigerian waters.
Dantsoho lauded the outgoing manager and heads of departments for their outstanding performance and promised to improve on their legacies.
Earlier, the former Port Manager, Abubakar had expressed confidence in the new leadership to strengthen the operations at the port.
Abubakar who was represented by the Chief Medical Director, Onne Port, Dr. Julius Ago said, “We are happy to have you at the Port”, adding that “the level of attendance by heads of departments shows how happy we are to receive you as the new port manager”.
