Senator Woos ITF On Constituents’Training, Infrastructure Dev
The Senator representing Plateau North, Istifanus Gyang, has called for partnership with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) on empowerment of members of his constituency through training and infrastructure development.
Gyang made the call yesterday during his courtesy visit to ITF headquarters in Jos.
He said the visit was part of his programme to interface and familiarise with federal institutions in the state.
“This visit is to chart ways on how legislative interventions can be made to enhance the performance of ITF, through empowering it and other agencies to deliver their various mandates.
“We want to create enabling environment for ITF to discharge its duties effectively which will add value to both the organisation and our communities,” Gyang said.
He said the aim of the visit was also to conduct a needs assessment of the organisation on enactment or review of laws affecting its services.
“I sponsored 20 bills in the 8th assembly and I am committed to ensure laws are enacted or existing laws reviewed to enable you to discharge your duties effectively,” Gyang said.
