Wike Unveils Rumuokoro Market Management Committee
The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has approved a seven-member committee to manage the affairs of the Rumuokoro Market and Park.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
According to the statement, members of the committee are Chief Owhonda Emmanuel, Chairman, Mrs Ifeoma Rose Ayeozo, representing non-indigenous traders, member and Mrs Rose Nwanwa Okoro, representing indigenous traders, member.
The rest are Mr Wike Sampson Chidi, representing Obio/Akpor, member, Emeka Okocha representing Okoro clan, Secretary, Mr Iyke Orlu representing National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), member and Mr Onu Ikeani, member.
The statement further directed members of the committee to liaise with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects for immediate commencement of work.
