Wike Deserves Second Term – Prof Didia
The Vice Chancellor, Rivers State University (RSU) Port Harcourt, Prof Blessing Chimezie Didia has said the governor of the state, Chief Nyesom Wike has performed very well and deserves a second term in office.
Didia stated this while playing host to the leadership of Wike Solidarity Movement in his office in Port Harcourt, Thursday led by the Director-General of the group, Sudo Nwijo.
The Vice Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the landmark projects executed by the state chief executive within the three years of his administration, adding that the governor’s feat has positively impacted on the socio economic development of the state.
According to him, the people of the state are happy with the various achievements of the governor and would in any way contemplate for any alternative in 2019 and lauded the group for galvanising strong support for the governor through their moblisation drive.
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the group, Mr Sudo Nwiju told the Vice Chancellor that plans have been concluded to inaugurate what he called “Club 18” among all the institutions of higher learning in the state with the aim to mobilise students for the governor’s re-election and support.
He used the opportunity to commend the vice chancellor on his development strides in the university, and added that Prof Didia had repositioned the university as one among the leading universities in the world within his short period in office.
